According to Closeronline the thought of Bananas might not sound as exciting as some of the new superfoods that we get bombarded with in the news, but they have so many benefits that we thought we remind you how special they are.
Apart from being incredibly versatile (they go with ANYTHING. Peanut butter, cereal, fruit salad, yoghurt…), they are also full of vitamin B which is essential for producing red blood cells and the break down of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.
Bananas have a low GI and will release energy slowly into your bloodstream, sustaining your energy levels throughout the day. This makes them the perfect snack before exercise or for your children’s lunchbox.
Including bananas into your diet can also help to reduce the risk of strokes and maintain blood pressure. So why don’t you rekindle your love affair with the mellow yellow and try our tasty recipe?
